Search and Rescue Completion Plans

Hello, everyone! Yes, it’s been… well, ages. I have updated my other blogs semi-recently, but this blog – my blog for my original, publishable stories, is now going into active status.

For the very simple reason that I fully intend to get the second draft (aka the rewrite) of Search and Rescue (Psi Department Book 1, my 2008 NaNoWriMo novel) finished by the end of March (or, if worse comes to worst, the end of April), and have it ready to be published before the end of this year. I’m currently in the middle of Chp. 8 of 14, and have been for a few years now, so I’d really like to get this finished and done with.

To help me with this plan, I’ll be using my habit tracker, Habitica, to help keep me going, as well as some planners made specifically for writers and creatives by Joseph Michael of Learn Scrivener Fast.1

I intend to keep this blog updated about once a week with my writing progress; I’ll try to post on Mondays or Tuesdays.

The plan for this week involves re-reading what I have written already, and figuring out what I need in order to continue. I intend to devote at least one hour a day to working on it, and will let you all know next week how it goes. With any luck, I will also manage to get started on the writing of the second half of Chp. 8 before the week is out.

Wish me luck!
